The company’s history dates back to 1950, when Karl Klein founded a metal pressing business. The parts produced included parts for fans, and one day Karl Klein had a thought: There must be a way of making these parts better – lighter, more flexible, and more versatile. In 1963 Karl Klein produced his first steel-plate fan housing. Constructors of machines and plants welcomed the new lightweight structure and Karl Klein's fans gave rise to a previously unknown variety of shapes and targeted solutions.
Today, Karl Klein GmbH is seen as a global radial fan specialist. Qualified, highly-motivated employees work every day towards maintaining the company's high quality standards. Karl Klein GmbH is now represented in ten European countries. This Swabian fan manufacturer is based in Aichwald in Germany – where the development, construction, and production of fans looks set to continue in the future.

Karl Klein GmbH manufactures quiet low, medium, and high-pressure fans with drive ratings of up to 15 kW and flow rates of up to 18,000 m³/h.
The product range also includes hybrid, explosion-proof, and portable fans.

Karl Klein GmbH uses its own test chambers to determine characteristics and noise levels. This enables the constant fulfilment of customer requirements and means that new, optimized products can be developed on a continuous basis.
As an example, frequency converter technology is one of the Karl Klein’s technical highlights. It allows specific operating points to be controlled and the rotational speed to be adjusted above or below the nominal speed as required.
