Please note, that your operating point ideally should be selected in the middle of the fan characteristic curve.
If, for whatever reason, you have to deviate from this rule, the operating point must not be in the absolute marginal areas of the characteristic. The efficiency of the fan is too poor in the far right area and the characteristic curve is also inconsistent in the far left area, where flow may stall. In the case of ATEX fans, the operating point must be in the continuous range of characteristics, i.e. not too far in the left area.
Note: The fan characteristics shown here serve as reference values for a quick pre-selection / configuration of a fan. For technical reasons, the characteristic curves shown here in the marginal areas (in which the fan should not be operated) may be subject to tolerance, they may differ slightly from our official fan data sheets.
